El Jardin is the town square. Spend time here people watching, walking through the markets, and exploring the streets that lead away in all directions. San Miguel's most famous sight is its parish church, characterized by its pink 'wedding cake' towers that soar above the town. These strange pinnacles were designed by indigenous stonemason Zeferino Gutiérrez in the late 19th century. He reputedly based the design on a postcard of a Belgian church and instructed builders by scratching plans in the sand with a stick. The rest of the church dates from the late 17th century.
When visiting San Miguel, there’s not a more unique and memorable experience than a private tour of La Dragones. In the heart of San Miguel de Allende, you will learn about the the different tequilas the brand offers (Mack and Ben's fav is the Joven).
San Miguel de Allende is world-famous as an artistic haven, and nowhere is that better on display than the fantastic Fabrica la Aurora. Located on the northern side of town, this art center occupies a massive former textile mill that has been converted to a sprawling complex filled with different art galleries and displays.
San Miguel de Allende is filled with fantastic viewpoints, but the best in the city is the El Mirador outlook. You’ll find fantastic panoramic views of the entire city.
