I'm in, I'm all in

Ben and Lily met when she relocated to Longview after graduating from Grand Canyon University. Ben was part of a church small group with Lily’s parents and was introduced to her in May of 2023. Ben remembers thinking that Lily was very cute and friendly, had a nice laugh, and that he would love to get to know her better. Lily remembers thinking that Ben was very tall (they do have a foot of height difference between them), had a nice nose, and liked that they were able to laugh together. They encountered each other several times over the summer, but didn’t truly get to know one another until a few months later when they began serving in the Jr. High ministry. Each received a separate invitation to lunch to discuss what volunteering as Jr. High leaders would entail, unaware that the other would also be attending (Thanks, Jaime!). They became friends, and Ben asked Lily out for a coffee date for September 25th. After a year and eight months, Ben proposed to Lily on May 10th, 2025. He had a small heart attack when the park he planned to propose at was closed to the public, but he pivoted and found another nearby park with a walking trail. She said yes :)
