Check out this webpage with general info about the area and communities to explore!

Alexandria Bay

Alex Bay is a cute, kitschy town upriver from the camps. There are lots of shops to explore, restaurants to try, and be sure to catch a look at Boldt Castle! The weekend of our wedding is Pirates Weekend in Alex Bay, so if you choose to venture there, be ready for big crowds. Note: We can't be held accountable if you end up shanghaied or forced to walk any planks.

Clayton

Check out Kim's favorite town on the St Lawrence! There are lots of cute shops and restaurants where you can grab lunch or a drink while overlooking the river. It's also home to several distilleries, a winery, and an antique boat museum.

Wellesley Island State Park

If you're in the mood for something more outdoorsy, you can't beat Wellesley Island! They have multiple trails to enjoy of varying lengths and intensity, and a lovely Visitor's Center with lots of 1000 Islands history to take in.

1000 Islands Bridge Walkway

Cross the 1000 Islands Bridge on foot to get indisputably the best arial view of the St Lawrence River.

For all the days along the way
