What's the best way to book my trip?

We have arranged a travel agency through TripGuy Travel Agency. Please find the site here: https://www.tripguy.com/katebenwedding where you can book your stay with included roundtrip airport transfers. Flights are available to book with them upon request.

When should I book by?
Answer
If you want the most options with the best rates, it’s best to book early. Since we need to know who is attending in order to plan seating and meals, we recommend you make your room deposit as soon as you get the invitation, but at the minimum, book at least 6 months ahead so we can plan accordingly. You should RSVP and place your $100 room deposit with TripGuy by April 12th, 2023.

When should we arrive?
Answer
Feel free to arrive and make this trip a duration that works best for you! We recommend booking for at least 3-4 nights for the best rate. Please be aware that the wedding festivities will take place on THURSDAY October 12th, so plan accordingly.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
Answer
TripGuy Travel will also arrange your ROUNDTRIP airport transfer. The cost is $55 per person roundtrip. They use Epic Transfer in Cabo and they are wonderful. Uber is available in Cabo but we highly recommend using an airport transfer service.

What's included at the resort?
Answer
Your stay at Secrets will be all-inclusive - meaning all food and alcoholic drinks are included in your stay. There is pool-side service for all guests (food + drink). There will be a five course meal served at the reception as well as a private open bar for you to enjoy. Additional excursions, spa, golf, etc. are not included and would be an additional charge.

Is there anything that’s not included?
Answer
Although tips are technically included in your resort package, you’ll definitely want to bring some 1’s and 5’s (USD is just fine, no need to exchange to Peso) for the bartenders and servers taking care of you throughout your stay. Keep in mind, your shuttle driver isn’t a part of the resort staff, so bring some cash for your transfer driver. Additional excursions or spa treatments are also not included and can be paid with a credit card at the hotel.

We love your children, however, this is an adults-only resort and there are no exceptions for children even for formal events.

Will I need a passport?
Answer
Yes, passports are required for travel to Mexico.

Are there any COVID restrictions?
Answer
There are no COVID-19 restrictions for international travel to Mexico. You will NOT need to test prior to travel to Mexico, nor need to test prior to travel back to the U.S. Per the U.s. Embassy, a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) is NOT required for entry.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Be sure to dress light and breezy, yet still formal, since the air will be warm. Lighter color clothing is preferred.

Where are you registered? Should I bring a gift?

You can find our registry on this website under 'Registry' (https://www.zola.com/registry/kateandbenoctober12) - we registered specifically for honeymoon funds! Gifts are not necessary. Your presence and making the trip out is a gift in itself! Boxed gifts or cards with money should be given once we return home.

What will the weather be like in October?

The Cabo San Lucas weather is sunny and warm throughout the month, with average highs of 88 degrees Fahrenheit and an average minimum temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend layers for nighttime as it will be breezy.

What is Preferred Club? Do you recommend it?
Answer
Preferred Club is an optional upgrade to your already all-inclusive package. Some of the perks of Preferred Club are: -Private Club Lounge with personalized check-in and check-out -Personal Concierge Service -Suites in premium locations -Private Preferred Club pool During our first stay at Secrets, we did NOT upgrade to Preferred Club. Talking to other guests that had, for most, it was not worth the additional charge to them. You will still get premium service with 24/7 room service/concierge access. One pro is that these rooms are closer to the wedding festivities - however, there are golf carts that will be able to take you around the resort if needed. Completely up to you if you'd like to book this premium, but we feel your stay will be amazing either way!
