It was a cold Thursday night in December of 2016 where Kate and her friends were invited to a party at Kyle's (one of her best friend's) house. First impression of this house wasn't great as there was no front door.... but nevertheless, Kate walked in to meet Kyle's roommates and greet her other Delta Sigma Pi friends. This is where she met Ben for the first time! Fast forward to the following semester, Ben decided to join their co-ed business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. For the remainder of the year and the next fall semester, there were many parties and get togethers that both Ben and Kate attended, but nothing serious yet. Over winter break of our junior year, Kate finally bit the bullet and texted Ben for the first time casually. They chatted a little before returning to their spring semester. Kate came to find out that all of Ben's roommates had decided to study abroad, and he was stuck with subleasers as roommates. The talking continued until one day Kate invited herself over to Ben's... she wore sweatpants, a hoodie, and no makeup. Our first date was to the movies to see Black Panther. The rest is history. One of our favorite moments to this day is calling our mutual best friend Kyle (who introduced us) to tell him that we had gotten together while he was abroad in which he replied "my two worlds just collided". It just feels right to have Kyle officiate our wedding! Through many different adventures, life brought us to Austin, TX, and here we are, five and half years later getting married in the same place we got engaged. Cabo will always be a special place for us, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
