Flight
DEN (Denver International Airport) is the most simple and least expensive airport to fly into for guests. It is approximately 120 miles from Denver to Vail; we suggest allowing 2 hours for the drive. For our NY/CT crew: Delta is best option from LGA Jetblue deals from JFK United has great deals from EWR Southwest and United from BDL For our STL crew: Southwest, Southwest, Southwest (for top tier bargain, look out for their flash sales!) Once you arrive to Denver you can rent a car or reserve a shuttle ride to Vail. Shuttle Options include Epic Mountain Express and Peak 1 Express.
Flight
EGE (Eagle County Regional Airport) is about 40 minutes West of Vail. Flights into Eagle are a bit more expensive, and most options involve stops. Once in Eagle, you can rent a car, hail a rideshare, or book a shuttle.
Travel Note
We have noticed that Expedia.com offers the best deals for rental cars (check this first!). We suggest holding off booking your rental car until closer to travel date (Jun-Jul) for best deals. P.S. Unless you want to explore more of Colorado outside of just Vail, you may not want to rent a car. There is free shuttle service around the town of Vail and most hotels charge around $50/night to park. (except our hotel, whom is kindly offering discounted nightly rates for us)
Travel Note
Piney River Ranch is situated in the stunning Colorado wilderness, but also requires navigating less maintained, forest service roads (see image at top of this page). The road is not paved, so it can be a little bumpy. However, 4 wheel drive is not necessary, most cars do just fine. If you are planning on driving to the wedding, please allow 50-60 minutes of travel time. We recommend taking advantage of the provided shuttles with their experienced drivers (a group adventure is always more fun!)
