FAQs

Question

Answer

Please RSVP by June 26.

Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE CEREMONY?

Answer

3:30pm please! Shuttles to and from the venue will be provided. Shuttles will depart promptly at 2:30pm and return at 10:00pm.

Question

What's the weather looking like?

Answer

August in the Rockies are beautiful! You can expect warm summer days, cool evenings, low humidity, and a sun that likes to hang out late (sunset around 8 PM). We recommend bringing a layer/light jacket or something to keep warm after sunset.

Question

WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE VENUE?

Answer

Piney River Ranch sits at 9,350 feet above Vail village and is a charming, rustic, remote destination. The journey to the venue is where the fun begins! We strongly recommend taking provided transportation (please trust the process, it'll be worth it!) You'll enjoy the beauty of the White River National Forest during the cocktail hour, dinner and reception. As the venue is at high elevation, weather could be chilly in the evenings. We suggest bringing a jacket or something to keep warm. (if you own fur, now's the time to break it out) P.S. there will not be reliable cell phone reception or WiFi - we invite you to unplug and enjoy the evening with us!

Question

FIRST TIME IN COLORADO?

Answer

Just a heads up—we'll be at high altitude! Few quick tips: Hydrate more than usual and take it easy your first day (save the strenuous hikes for later during your trip). Alcohol hits harder in the mountains. The regulars advise sipping water between cocktails and your body will be happy. Bring layers and sunscreen (Jess will have plenty of both packed). It gets chilly at night and you're closer to the sun. That's it! The elevation is totally manageable. Just listen to your body and you'll morph into a mountaineer in no time.
