pinky promise forever

We have known each other basically our entire lives. Since preschool, we have run on the same playground, taken the same classes, and had the same general groups of friends. However, our story did not truly begin until our senior year of high school, and it all started over a game of golf. I, Jensyn, was looking to hang out with the guys in our Worship Arts class outside of school, I wanted to be the girl with all the guy friends, and I made a connection to a lot of them through golf. Soon I was golfing with them multiple times a month and hanging out with all of them at their houses watching movies or playing games, they became my best friends very fast. But then, Ben started to get a little flirtatious with me. I pushed him away at first because "I did not want to ruin our friendship," but obviously my will was not strong enough. After about a month of pining, I finally agreed to go out with him. We have been inseparable since and we would not have it any other way. We ended up receiving the same full-ride scholarship at Rogers State University and once again ended up finding some amazing friends to share our life with. More recently, we had a tough mountain to climb when Ben got diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Ben had to move to Houston in order to receive treatment so we had a large amount of distance between us, something we had never had to deal with before. I, luckily, got to travel down to see him a bit, but we quickly realized that living without each other was impossible. Our love became even deeper. We became even closer. And a little over a month after he was cleared and sent home, he proposed, and we thank God everyday that we were given that opportunity, that we get to be married. Our love story is one of many highs and lows, but through it all we have grown even closer together and even closer to God. We cannot wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife, November 25th cannot get here soon enough!
