This site is one of the biggest granite quarries in the world and offers a site tour and museum that explores the economic significance of Vermont's granite. You may even be able to glimpse the towering pile of granite in Graniteville, VT, above the treeline as you drive near the area.
The Barr Hill distillery is an impressive building that draws many people year-round. Known for its gin, the distillery uses honey to sweeten its creations. Barr Hill also offers small bites, a factory tour, and canned packs of their Gin and Tonic.
Everything Cabot is available here. Even just the samples are varied and interesting. From fancy cheeses, craft beers and wines, to accouterments and kitchen furnishings, this is certainly an interesting place to have a look around.
IF you have a LOT of time to spare and you're feeling especially ADVENTUROUS... this is the biggest corn maze in New England and has been operating for 20+ years. It will likely take you 2-5 hours to complete. There is always a theme chosen and it is revealed to you at the very end.
