Travel Note

FREEDOM 250 GRAND PRIX

We highly recommend booking travel and accommodations as soon as you are able to. Washington, DC is hosting an Indy 500 style race the same weekend called the Freedom 250 Grand Prix. Several streets will be shut down and we expect the city to be crowded as the race is free to the public. We highly discourage out of town guests from renting cars due to a myriad of reasons but the road closures alone will make it a regretful decision.

Flight

Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA)

We recommend flying into DCA as it is the closest airport to Washington, DC. Dulles (IAD) may also offer more flexibility depending on where you are coming from. Please note that IAD is approximately 45 minutes away by car or an hour and 15 minutes via metro.

Hotel

The Ven at Embassy Row

We have a room block at The Ven at Embassy Row under Ashworth-Rigby Wedding. This hotel is a short walk from our venue. The link below should take your directly to our room block page.

Other Accomodation Options

Our venue is located in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC. but you are welcome to stay anywhere in the city as it is extremely accessible via metro and Uber/Lyft. We highly recommend staying as close to the venue as you can due to the planned Freedom 250 Grand Prix taking place the same weekend. We are not sure how street closures will affect traffic.
