Lapis is one of our favorite spots in DC—a cozy Afghan bistro in Adams Morgan with amazing food and a warm, welcoming vibe. It’s perfect for a relaxed meal. We especially love the dumplings. If you’re looking for something a little different (and seriously delicious), we highly recommend checking it out!
Purple Patch is a go-to for dinner or brunch. The dishes are flavorful and creative—don’t miss the lumpia or the chicken and ube waffles! It’s a cozy, welcoming place with great cocktails and a fun vibe.
If you’re looking for a fresh smoothie or acai bowl while you’re in town, we love South Block. It’s a local favorite with multiple locations across the city and surrounding suburbs. We recommend the warrior bowl, the wired monkey smoothie, or the pb&j smoothie.
Old Ebbitt Grill is a true DC classic, just steps from the White House, and perfect for anyone wanting a taste of the city’s history. We love it for the burgers and crab cakes, and the bar is an excellent choice if you’re simply looking to enjoy a well-made drink.
If you happen to be staying in Arlington, check out this incredible Ethiopian spot in our neighborhood. Offering up delicious options for vegans and omnivores alike, it’s one of our go-to places for a cozy meal and always leaves us full and happy.
Kramers, located just around the corner from our venue, combines a cozy bookstore with a lively café and bar. It’s perfect for grabbing brunch, cocktails, or a late-night bite, and you can check out their wide selection of books while you wait on your table. We recommend a reservation if you plan to brunch there on Saturday or Sunday.
One of our favorite neighborhood spots, Kabob Palace is open 24 hours, which makes it perfect for a late-night bite or an easy stop after landing at DCA. The kabobs, rice, and naan are always delicious, and the portions are huge—definitely worth checking out if you’re nearby.
