Here are some of our favorite places in the area if you are sick of the beach.

Circle Regional Beach Access

Ben INSISTS on going here every time he visits. The food is super cheap and the burgers are the best in Beaufort!

Royal James Cafe

Go here for ice cream and all your tourist merchandise! 

Side note: You might spot wild horses if you walk across the street to the board walk and look at the island on the other side of the creek!!

General Store

This is a Civil War-era state park. You can also access the beach and walking/dune hiking trails from here. 

Fun Fact: The Laskys have a tradition of hiking on the dunes every thanksgiving!

Fort Macon State Park

This is a new brewery in Atlantic Beach that opened up a couple years ago. Ben and I really like it and they have tons of games!

Crystal Coast Brewing Company

This is a great place to go if you want to know more of the history of Beaufort and Carteret County
