Kerlaches has some of the best kolaches in the city (Ben edit: except the spinach & feta), and Desnudo Coffee is our favorite coffee in town (Ben edit: in the world). This food truck park is also home to a Veracruz All Natural - they are a favorite for tacos in ATX.
Located in the Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden. Pretty good barbecue… Allison's favorite burger, though.
You won’t have time to wait 6 hours in line for Franklin Barbecue (and you shouldn't - just come to the welcome dinner). Instead, go to Loro, a joint venture between Aaron Franklin and Tyson Cole (the guy behind our favorite ATX sushi restaurant, Uchi).
Good coffee, great cocktails and a pretty good burger. Plus Holdout Brewing is right next door, for a larger selection of beers and... well, a pretty good burger.
Located right on the lake near downtown, you’ll get great views of the skyline and a bit of fresh air. Go for a run, have a picnic, or… better yet, bring one of our pups here (on leash, please), and you’ll have a great time.
March winds bring April showers, but at the Wildflower Center, you won’t have to wait until May to see flowers. It's a real treat for those who like walking around and looking at stuff.
In case you want to get some range time in while you’re in ATX. Also, there is a nonzero chance that Ben will pay them a visit Saturday morning…
