For the welcome dinner, we suggest dressy casual. The wedding ceremony and reception is semi-formal/cocktail, but it is an indoor/outdoor venue, so layers could be helpful after the sun goes down. For brunch, the suggested dress code is clothes.
Austin, Texas in early spring can be a little erratic, but you should expect temperatures in the 60s and 70s, with the occasional forecast of a 30-minute shower that rarely materializes. Austin has over 300 days of sunshine per year, so we are hoping for good weather. The forecast (as of March 24) calls for cloudy skies with a high of 80 and a low of 57, so please plan accordingly.
Both! The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside, dinner will be inside the main building, and the dance floor and bar will be outside.
We have confirmed with Hotel Van Zandt that the guest amenity fees is in fact waived. They told us that there is no way to change it in the booking portal, but they have assured us that you will not be charged a guest amenity fee. If you are charged, please let us know as soon as possible and we will sort things out. Ideally, not during the ceremony, though - not even when the pastor asks if anyone has any objections to the marriage.
