Bring yo rods! Hide yo wives! Get a fishing license! The river right behind the property is a classic lip rippin location. Yeehaw!
If you bring your bike, you might as well sell your house in the States. You'll never leave. The closest trails to the venue are from Alice Lake. There's legit scary slab trails, mellow greens, rooty blues, and everything in between. Lots of bike shops in town to rent from.
The Stawamus Chief Trail, known locally as "The Chief", is a route that every passionate hiker should have on their bucket list. Hiking Peak One and Peak Two together definitely gives hikers the most substantial views in the shortest distance. Despite being relatively short, this is not an easy hike as it requires conquering large stairway steps up the whole way. This route is also very technical with a series of chains and ladders higher into the hike. The route from first peak to second peak, as shown, is actually a climbing route. Only hikers with climbing experience should attempt the full adventure. Most of the second section of the hike is intense stairs with all elevation gain, plus chains for the last quarter. Be very careful and take this area slow, especially if it has been raining or has snowed, as it can be quite slippery. This is not appropriate for small children and those who have not prepared.
Have fun nerds. This is the Yosemite of Canada.
We frequent this spot for coffee and live music. They have great breakfast and coffee options.
10/10 brunch location. A Canadian Caesar is one of Canada's most loved drinks! Made with Clamato juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and a blend of delicious spices.
Our neighborhood coffee shop
This is the most legendary donut shop we know of. Enjoy a donut while walking around downtown, or take it to go and head to Sp’akw’us Feather Park to stroll by the Howe Sound.
A lovely Provincial park to go for a walk, hike, trail run, or mountain bike from.
A mellow forest walk to a waterfall through an old growth forest.
Take a stroll along the eagle run for the best birdwatching location in town. The eagles sit in the trees along the river awaiting the salmon and steelhead runs. Great for kids. The Watershed Grill is nearby for a lunch option.
