Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We wanted to host a Friday wedding so we could spend the whole weekend with you! There will be a few events Thursday - Saturday.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is "Black Tie Optional" meaning tuxes or dark suits for man and evening wear for women. Long is preferred (especially with the weather!). We are always happy to answer questions if you are unsure!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

We will be honest - Milwaukee in November can be a toss up. In 2020, it was 70 degrees on November 11th. In 2021, it was 37 and sleeting. Given that we will be approaching winter, please plan to dress/pack warm clothes and jackets!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at least half an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The Ivy House has a free parking lot that fits up to 60 cars. There is also ample street parking around the venue.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
