This weekend is PACKED FULL of fun, social activities and community, with a wedding ceremony in the mix. We understand that for some people, like Melissa, this is exhausting...which is why we made sure there is plenty of space for alone time if you need to hike by yourself, sit by the river, or find a quiet space to birdwatch with Mat Cloak.
Lodging is provided on-site with a variety of options from dorm style rooms, bunk houses, cabins, wall tents, van/car sites, and tent camping. "Glamping" means you will have a real bed with a mattress and linens and walls around you; "camping" is that you may be in a tent or van. Please reach out to us if you have any questions about lodging or personal needs...we are doing everything we can to make sure you are comfortable. (& Do not book separate lodging without checking with us please - the venue requires a minimum number of people sleeping on site!)
YES! Absolutely & encouraged...part of why we picked a youth camp, is so little ones have lots of room to roam, games to play, and even a lifeguard on duty for swimming in the pool. If you are bringing babies/toddlers and don't want to camp out, we can prioritize a private bedroom for you.
Small dogs are allowed on leash
Per typical camp style, there are shower stalls, various types of bathrooms (with flushing toilets), and designated spaces (aka mirrors) to get fancy if that's your jam.
So does Melissa! Stefan identifies as a trash can. When you RSVP, there is space to let us know what you prefer or need and we will make it happen.
Yes! There are golf carts to help navigate the multi-acre property, mostly due to steep hills, as well as fully outfitted ADA bathrooms and showers available.
Whatever you feel comfortable wearing outside for light hiking, or playing volleyball, basketball, frisbee, etc. As we get closer to September, we will have a better idea about the weather. There are showers available for everyone's use on-site, so you can easily clean up if you get sweaty or dirty while having fun. If you're a light sleeper, make sure to bring some earplugs to drown out those of us who snore... Stefan 👀....& don't forget your swimsuit & towel, for the final hoo-rah slip-n-slide! 🌊
Please wear whatever you truly feel happiest and best in - the energy you bring is most important. We encourage bold colors (oranges, pinks, blues, greens, florals) and shoes that you are comfortable with getting a little dirty considering we are outside most of the weekend. There are gravel and dirt pathways, so heels are discouraged unless they have a very chunky heel.
Surely, but you don't have to! Friday is a potluck, so everyone will bring something. After Friday, there will be full meals, alcoholic beverages, and non-alcoholic beverages provided for everyone. You do you.
Lucky for you there is a camp store! Lots of those little items available on site to purchase, or you could hitch a ride into the local town if necessary.
Yep. Designated areas will be marked for smoking, and locations will be dependent on fire marshall.
"Your presence is the present" as they say! No gifts expected. If this is your love language, we have a couple funds on the registry page for you too.
Upon arrival, each guest will have to sign a waiver...which is mostly because this property has way too many fun activities (swimming, hiking, sports, games, slip-n-slide) and we all know what fun activities can lead to...
Well, that's really in the hands of your phone service company. However we have been told that most if not all phone service providers cover this area and it is not an issue. Either way - you're not here to be on your phone!
Considering natural disasters and environmental impacts...please do not bring any fireworks, sparklers, pets, confetti/poppers/tiny trash, or illegal drugs. Also, no fishing in the river, bonfires outside the fire ring, amplified music after 10 PM, or doing other illegal activities.
