Bonnie Castle Resort and Marina

This hotel has great views of Heart Island, is in Alexandria Bay, and has 3 dining options including a sports bar, dock bar, and formal dining. While vacationing in the area last year we attended a Sunday Brunch at Bonnie Castle where we could overlook the Heart Island, enjoy great food, and listen to a harpist during our meal. On more relaxed nights we would grab a drink at the dock bar which is built into a cliffside, sit with our feet in the water, and watch the sunsets at Boldt Castle.

1000 Islands Harbor Hotel

This hotel is in the heart of Clayton, a small town where everything we love is in walking distance. Some of the places we recommend are: The Hops Spot, a restaurant with independently craft brewed beer, delicious burgers, and authentic poutine. Coyote Moon Vineyard's riverside tasting room who hosts the wine cruise. River Rat Cheese which makes the best local cheddars and cheese curds.

It is important that you contact your cellular provider and inform them that you will be in Alexandria Bay, New York which is in close proximity to Canada especially if you do not plan to visit Canada to possibly avoid international charges.
