Sunrise Bagels For the quintessential New York bagel experience, head to Sunrise Bagels. Gjon always goes for the BE&C, while Belle loves her plain bagel topped with lox and all the fixings. Be sure to call ahead and bring cash! Deisings A multi-generational German bakery and diner, Deisings is a cherished local institution. It even made headlines with a playful spat involving cake bears and John Oliver. Along with classic diner fare, don’t miss their rainbow cookies. Half Moon Café Run by our friendly neighbors, Half Moon Café exudes warmth and hospitality. They’re renowned for their delicious donuts, but be sure to try the chocolate babka as well!

If you're in the mood for some shopping, Woodbury Common Premium Outlets is a must-visit. It is the largest outlet shopping mall in the USA, boasting over 200 stores with great deals from top brands. If you’re looking for a fun and relaxing outing, we highly recommend Brotherhood Winery in Washingtonville, just a short drive away. It’s America’s oldest winery, so you can enjoy a little history along with some fantastic wine. (22 minutes)

If you’re looking for family-friendly fun, LEGOLAND New York Resort is a colorful adventure. This theme park has something for everyone-from creative rides and interactive attractions to amazing LEGO sculptures. (25 minute drive)

Hikes
The thing we love to do most together is to go on hikes with our little rude boy, Marko. The Hudson Valley is a hiker's paradise, with trails for every level of adventurer. From peaceful lakeside strolls to challenging mountain climbs, the region offers stunning views of the river, forests, and valleys. Here are some recommended hikes within a 30 minute drive of Monroe, NY. - Harriman State Park - Bear Mountain State Park - Black Rock Forest Preserve - Storm King State Park - Mount Peter
