Old Town is made up of several distinct areas. The Arts District is known for galleries, Southwestern art, and local shops, while the area closer to Fashion Square has more boutiques and fashion-focused shopping. You’ll also find plenty of classic Scottsdale souvenir and tourist shops throughout Old Town.
A few of our favorite spots in and around Scottsdale: Morning Squeeze — Casual and fun breakfast and brunch in Old Town Hash Kitchen — A fun, vibrant breakfast and brunch spot known for Arizona’s biggest Bloody Mary bar. We recommend going before 10 AM, as it gets lively (and loud!) later in the morning. Bloody Mary lovers, this is a must! Butterfield’s — A local favorite for breakfast and brunch Eggstasy — Great breakfast and brunch with lots of options Buck & Rider — Seafood, oysters, and cocktails Diego Pops — Fun Mexican spot in Old Town with great margaritas Tommy Bahama — Great happy hour stop while shopping at Kierland Commons Postino — Wine bar known for its bruschetta boards; great for lunch, happy hour, or a casual dinner
Desert Botanical Garden — Explore beautiful desert trails, native plants, and iconic Arizona scenery. PopStroke — A fun, elevated take on putt-putt with two putting courses, food, and drinks. Phoenix Zoo — A great way to spend a few hours outdoors and conveniently located near the Desert Botanical Garden. Hiking — Scottsdale and the surrounding area have plenty of beautiful hiking trails with incredible desert views. If you plan to hike, bring plenty of water, wear sun protection, and be mindful of the Arizona heat—even in October!
