Relax and unwind at our favourite spa in town. For only $53 USD you can spend all day at the spa, rotating between their cave jacuzzi, outdoor pool, dry and wet saunas, and day beds. We have a group spa day planned for March 5th. If you're interested make sure to register on the RSVP page!!
If you're looking for an adventure, this tour is for you! Guatemala has 37 volcanoes and one of the active ones is right outside Antigua. Hike up an active volcano (Acatenango), towering at 3976m, where you can see Volcán de Fuego's lava eruptions from base camp. Sleep under the stars, wake up to the sound of the eruptions, climb the volcano's summit, and witness the most spectacular sunrise. This experience is truly one of a kind, and we highly recommend it for those who are up for the physical challenge. We recommend hiking with Wicho & Charlies, but there are other tour agencies such as OX Expeditions and CA Travels that are reliable as well.
Guatemala is rich in culture and also its Mayan traditions. For just $16 USD, you get to experience traditional hot and cold therapy when you book a day pass at Casa Donya's spa. Test your limits with their professionally chilled cold plunges, lounge on their garden day beds, and relax in their Temazcal. A Temazcal is a Mayan sauna that is heated by volcanic rock. It was used in many ceremonies by indigenous groups and dates back to over a thousand years.
This is by far one of the most unique experiences to do in Antigua. Guatemala is known for its volcanoes, coffee, leather, and jade. In this workshop, you'll learn about the origins of jade, where it's found in Guatemala, and can actually design and make your own jade piece in two hours. Whether it be a ring, necklace, pendant, or mini sculpture, what you leave this activity with is more than just an item - it's memories.
