No. Upon arrival, simply let the security gate attendants know you are attending the Sorrells/Perkins wedding, and they will allow you on the property.
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the ceremony to allow time for check-in at the entrance gate and drive to the venue.
Parking is in designated lots, and a shuttle will take guests to the ceremony location.
Wedding guests do not receive general admission to Biltmore House & Gardens as part of the wedding entry. However, we will provide a link to discounted Biltmore House tickets so you can enjoy a tour of the estate during your visit. We highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as they often sell out!
Our dress code is black tie optional. Floor-length gowns are encouraged for women. The groomsmen will be in tuxedos, so feel free to bring out your best formalwear—tuxedos or a dark suit and tie are both appropriate. Please note that some venues at the Biltmore include outdoor spaces and stone pathways, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a night out for yourself!
Ceremony will be held outdoors in the Italian Garden at the Biltmore House, and the reception will be outdoors under a tent on The Terrace. We suggest bringing a light layer in case of cooler evening temperatures. To get an idea of what to expect, you can check out Asheville's monthly weather averages here (https://www.weather-us.com/en/north-carolina-usa/asheville-climate).
Complimentary transportation will be provided to and from both the welcome party and the ceremony for guests staying at any of our hotel blocks.
Yes! Biltmore offers several accommodation options, including The Inn on Biltmore Estate, The Village Hotel, and The Cottages on Biltmore Estate. We recommend booking early as rooms fill up quickly. More details and discounted accommodation rates are available under the "Travel" tab.
Biltmore has beautiful tented/indoor spaces in case of inclement weather, and the celebration will go on rain or shine!
We kindly ask that you join us in being fully present during our ceremony by putting away all phones, cameras, and other devices. We’re having an unplugged ceremony so that everyone can truly share this moment with us — we promise to share all the special memories afterward. Thank you for respecting this request and helping us create an intimate and meaningful experience!
Guests can enjoy wine tasting at Antler Hill Village, horseback riding, bike rentals, hiking trails, and fine dining.
