Driving the Going-to-the-Sun-Road is the most popular attraction here, but there are things to do around every corner. Apgar Village, Lake McDonald, Logan's Pass, St. Mary's Lake, Many Glacier and Two Medicine Lake are more specific places to visit. Hiking is the best way to see the depths of the park, but you'll see a lot even just driving around! Both inside the park and in the areas surrounding the park, you can find kayaking, horseback riding, rafting tours, boat tours, biking, and bus tours.
Flathead Lake is the largest fresh water lake in the western United States and one of the cleanest lakes in the world. There are a ton of activities to check out in this area, but it's even worth the drive to just to admire the view.
The Hungry Horse Dam is one of the largest concrete dams in the country and sits at the end of a large body of water spanning 34 miles long. This reservoir is just a short drive from the area where we will be staying, and is definitely worth checking out!
Bring your passport! Just to the north of Glacier National Park is Waterton Lakes National Park of Canada. Continue your exploration of the West and see some more incredible views!
Spend an afternoon in town, do some shopping and grab a bite at one of the many local restaurants!
