Lake Tahoe is full of never-ending Summer activities, here are a few to help you plan your trip! As always, PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT.

Desolation Hotel Campground Rock Climbing

There is a 70ft crag in the campground. Bolted routes, accessible via a short trail off the camp road, have grades ranging from 5.7 - 5.10a. Climbers at every level can enjoy this.

Emerald Bay State Park

The drive there is gorgeous and you can hike down and back up from the parking area. There is an old Viking house at the base and you can swim out to the little Island in the middle of the bay and hike up to the top where there is an old stone tea house.

Angora Lakes

Two stunning, glacially carved alpine lakes resting at 7,450 feet in the mountains above South Lake Tahoe. Known for swimming and cliff jumping.

Fallen Leaf Lake

Heavenly Mountain Scenic Gondola

There are a bunch of activities at the top of the gondola including a Mountain Coaster, Hot Shot Zip Line, Summer Tubing, Gemstone Panning & Climbing Wall.

Camp Richardson Mountain Sports Center

Multiple Boat rental options to go out onto Lake Tahoe - and Camp Richardson ice cream (a must as you pass by/through).

Eagle Falls Trailhead

Waterfall hike with swimming, nestled above Lake Tahoe. Bring cash for parking

Sand Harbor Beach

Known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, sandy coves, and iconic granite boulders. Kayak and paddleboard rentals available. Entry fee is $15, first come first serve parking capacity.

Secret Cove

Secluded and peaceful. It is a clothing-optional beach that welcomes families, swimmers, and nature lovers.

Secret Harbor Drive

Secret Harbor Drive, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Popular destination for both hikers and boaters. Its parking area is free, and provides a spectacular view of the lake. The trailhead to the beach offers vault restroom and refuse containers. The hike to Secret Harbor beaches can be a challenging one for beach visitors, so be prepared!
