Mountain biking

Lots of trails for mountain biking, including the more famous Downieville Downhill mountain bike trail (not for beginners).

Swimming/Kayaking/Paddle Boarding

Multiple lakes in the area for water recreation. Only lake not for swimming is (lower) Sardine Lake, which is strictly for fishing.

Fishing

Fishing

Lots of fishing up in the grate lakes basin. Sardine lake is stocked with trout every Fishing licenses can be purchased online or at Bassett's station. We will also have extra licenses to share with guests.

Sand Pond

Sand Pond

Sand pond is the warmest water in the lakes basin, and by warm I mean not freezing. It’s a great place to hang with kids. Shallow waters with surrounding grassy patches to set up camp for the day. Dogs are not allowed here. There are a few BBQ pits and public "toilets".
