Capri
The Island of Capri is one of the most picturesque and visited locations in Campania. While there, try to see if you can get into the Blue grotto! Duration of trip from Sorrento: about 30 minutes ferry. Ticket Price: about EUR 15-19
Pompei
Take a day trip to check out the ruins! While there you can get a guided tour providing information on the art, customs, trades and everyday life of Roman civilization. The city has re-emerged from the darkness of centuries precisely as it would have been when it was unexpectedly buried in the thick layer of ash and lava from the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Duration of trip from Sorrento: 20 minute train journey.
Positano
The jewel of the Amalfi Coast. The town has boutiques selling lemon-themed ceramics and artisan leather sandals. Sample fresh seafood and wines at the town's countless restaurants and beaches. Duration of trip from Sorrento: 20 minute drive.
Ravello
At 365 meters above sea level, the coastal views are out of this world! Also known for its ornate garden villas. Duration of trip from Sorrento: 1.5 hours drive
Procida
Procida is a beautiful Italian island in the Bay of Naples that’s been named Italy’s City of Culture for 2022. The view over Marina di Corricella from the road up to the castle is a sweeping, romantic vista across a glistening bay with fishing boats bobbing in the harbor. Duration of trip from Sorrento is 2h with the ferry which costs about €48 for a return ticket.
Ischia
Another beautiful island that contains thermal waters and mud baths. If you want to unwind or ease any aches and pains, Ischia has a mix of thermal parks and gardens like the Poseidon Gardens and Negombo Spa, as well as natural hot springs. Another highlight of a trip to the island is the medieval Castello Aragonese, a castle town which is built on a fortified island connected to the rest of Ischia by a causeway. Duration of trip from Sorrento is 1 hour via the ferry and costs around €48 for a return ticket.
