We met like any other modern love story, matched through the little app called ~hinge~. Jenn, a woman unafraid to be bold, threw out the first like after seeing that Bryan (or so he called himself at the time) looked like a guy who wanted to laugh and loved God. Once Bryan redownloaded the app, quite literally that day, and saw Jenn's initiation as well as her love for alternative pop (aka emo) music, it was a "yes from me dawg" moment. Quickly into matching, Bryan kept the conversation lively, full of questions, and the two were sending paragraphs everyday getting to know the stranger on the screen. It didn't take too long to figure out that they actually attended the same church (shoutout RRA). It was a church Bryan had moved here to plant in 2018 and that Jenn started attending fall of 2021 (we matched spring 2022). Eventually Bryan prompted to meet in person and asked Jenn to come say hi after church one Sunday he was leading worship. And by come say hi, he wanted her to meet him at the stage after he sang (which is actually a much less intimidating option than meeting in the RRA lobby iykyk). Alas, we met in person March 27 2022, Bryan wait to ask Jenn to dinner in person and we set something up for April 4th, 2022. It was Jenn's birthday week and truly the first and last week of knowing each other that she had a busier schedule than him. Bryan brought dairy free cupcakes and candles to dinner, asked amazing questions, and showed Jenn he was a man of intention and lots of fun. Bryan was intrigued by Jenn's love for God, her quick wit, and blue eyes (which right after complimenting he mentioned he was colorblind lmao). We quickly grew in adoration of each other and continued to put in time and effort to be around each other. About a month in Bryan let Jenn know he actually goes by Beej lol, and later that night we became official. While the rest of our story may not have moved at that quick pace, it has been so so beautiful. We have valued every season that has come, the honeymoon phase, the transition into a more serious relationship, and the journey to say yes to forever. Over the years of being together we've gotten to go on many adventures together, most involving traveling to see so many people we love get married. We've taken countless walks around the Lady Bird Lake trail together. We gab about being an aunt and uncle to our nieces and nephews. And we are constantly amazed by Gods goodness that we found each other. One of the biggest values we hold as a couple is community, and we have brought ours into the hard work we've done to have the fruitful relationship we do today. So, with that, thank you for loving us so well and intentionally. We often pinch ourselves to have the people we do in our lives and could not be more excited celebrate with you all as we make the best yes to each other and God on June 20th. Yeehaw!!!
