1. Yes, a January wedding 2. No, we are not crazy 3. We recognize winter weather is a possibility during this time of year and hope that won't frighten people away from our special day. The Madison hotel is mere minutes off of major roadways which are typically cleared quickly during snow. Additionally, the venue is conveniently located directly across the street from The Convent Train station on the Morris & Essex line. This station can be reached from New York Penn and Secaucus Junction Stations. If you are concerned about the weather, there will be a hotel block for the night of the ceremony for those who would like to stay over! In the event of extreme Inclement weather (State-of- Emergency-Major-roadways-closed-national-guard-activated level), we will likely have to reschedule the wedding for a later date and will send updates as soon as we have them (Hoping it doesn't have to come to that!)
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Black Tie Optional/Formal. For those of you, like the bride & groom, who still don't know what that means, please see below! "Black Tie Optional" mostly applies to men, meaning that while a tuxedo is welcome, a dark suit is more than acceptable! For women, it means you have the option of wearing a full-length gown, or opting for a cocktail dress, "so long as the hemline isn't too short or the style isn't too revealing." Now no one is going to shame you for showing off some leg or emphasizing your assets! But keep it classy! Also, the Bride humbly requests that ladies steer clear of dresses that are all white.
