we're getting married!

Back in 2017, Brandon was hanging out with his NC State friends and, ironically, a childhood friend of Sam's found herself there at the same time thanks to common friend groups. And sure enough, in the best man Kiley’s apartment, "single friend Sam" came into the conversation and a blind date was set (shout out to Megan!) Then - the first date. We truly went into it completely blind so Brandon picked Sam up at a nearby Food Lion parking lot (in a more "a true gentleman who didn't want Sam to pay for campus parking" kind of way?). But the second we met it was like we've known each other for years. After our first hello we enjoyed a fine dining experience at NC State's student dining hall. And the funny story about this is that Brandon was battling food poisoning on and refused to tell Sam because he wanted to meet her. Let's just say we fell in love instantly (or took "in sickness and health" seriously from day one!) Seven years later, Brandon brought Sam back to that very same spot we sat at on day one (don't worry, the student center not the scary Food Lion parking lot) and asked her to marry him. In 2025, we are beyond incredibly grateful for everyone around us, the experiences we've had together, and the future we will create together as newlyweds in this next chapter of life. We are beyond blessed by what life has provided us so far, and look forward to seeing what the future brings!
