Where can I buy Indian outfits?

Answer

Indian outfits can be purchased for cheap at lashkaraa.com, utsavfashion.com or houseofindya.com. A quick google search of Indian clothing stores in Sacramento and San Diego also show stores you can go to in person but pricing might be higher.

What do I wear to the henna and mehndi?

Answer

Outfits are less formal than the wedding but typically bright yellows or greens. Women can wear semi-formal American clothing (dresses, blouse and pants) or salwar kameez (long shirt and pants) or lehengas (shirt and skirt). Men can wear semi-formal (pants and shirt) or kurta sets (long shirt and pants)

Women typically wear: lehengas (shirt and skirt), sarees (fabric that has to be draped around the body), or salwar kameez (long top with pants). Try to avoid fully red or fully white outfits. Men typically wear kurta sets (a long shirt with pants) or American suit and tie

I am on the Groom's side, what time should I arrive at the Villa on wedding day?

Answer

Javante's side of the family please arrive at the Villa at 9am on the day of the wedding. Once everyone is gathered, you will dance to your heart's content up the driveway and outside the Villa with Javante. Richa's family will welcome you in with a small and fun ceremony. The wedding is to begin promptly at 10am.

I am on the Bride's side, what time should I arrive at the Villa on wedding day?

Answer

Richa's side of the family please arrive at the Villa before 9am on the day of the wedding to welcome Javante’s family. Richa will have her Chuda (bracelet) ceremony around 7am. Not all family needs to be present at the Chuda ceremony. The wedding is to begin promptly at 10am.

Of course! We will have music both Monday and Tuesday so bring your dancing shoes!
