Casey and Leah met in 2017 when Casey started X-ray school. Only starting out as acquaintances; Leah and Casey never really interacted with each other besides the occasional hello for several years. It is really fate that brought them together several years later. In the beginning of 2020 things had changed– Casey and Leah had discovered they had several mutual friends during nights out at the Haven. Our friend Zach Svencer (who was Leah’s classmate in X-ray school and Casey’s best friend his whole life) had taken Casey out one night and they happened to run into Leah at the bar. Another night about one month later our friends Devin and Nicole (now married) invited us out to the Haven as well. Leah went to highschool with Nicole and Casey went to highschool with Devin! After finding out they had a few friends in common Leah and Casey started talking more and more. Then when Covid shut everything down– they started bonding over the fact they both worked in X-ray departments during such a devastating time–Leah and Casey definitely started to become really good friends. In April of 2020, Nicole, who knew Casey liked Leah and vice versa, devised a plan to invite both of them to a fire at the forever memorable “farm”. To no surprise they hit it off instantly and this is where they shared their first kiss! After that moment they were inseparable. Realizing they had so much more in common than just friends(they even had the same car!). Since it was still Covid and the world was shut down it was nice for them to just get to know each other. Going on hikes at stackhouse park and The Que, getting coffee, cooking dinner together, and hanging out with friends. Officially, on May 16th 2020, they started dating. They didn’t have their first official date until June 19th at Asiagos because restaurants only started opening up for dine-in then! Throughout the years they have been through a lot together! Another big jump in their relationship was moving in together. Casey bought a house in 2021 in his home town of Hollsopple and Leah finally moved in on March 31st, 2023. This was an exciting time for them both to finally be living under one roof--they knew it was a big step for the both of them. Living together has been so fun and also challenging, but has made them both closer than ever. Over the years they have traveled to several new places together (getting a Christmas ornament at every place). They have made so many new friends. They both gained new families that they love and have so much fun with when they're together and they have made so many new memories that they will forever cherish. Casey and Leah celebrated 4 years together in May of 2024 and On June 22nd 2024; Casey decided to do all the fun things they love to do. They went for coffee and donuts, went on a hike, went to Stonebridge for drinks, went swimming, went to Asiago’s for dinner, went to watch the sunset at The Quemahoning dam, and then finally after a very long day and after Leah figured there would not be a ring after this day… Casey surprised Leah (which is hard to do) and popped the question on our deck that night. It was so perfect and so thoughtful. They cannot wait to finally be Mr. and Mrs. and to be together for so many more years to come.
