Does Costa Rica Require a U.S Passport or U.S Visa for entry?

Answer

No travel Visa needed! All you need is your current passport :) REMINDER: If your passport expires on or before May 6th, 2026, you will NOT be allowed to travel internationally!

Do I need local currency?

Answer

No! USD is accepted. Cash for tipping is recommended and 10% is preferred!

What's the weather like?

Answer

The weather in Costa Rica in December typically ranges between the mid 70s to the high 90s during the day and mid 60s in the evenings. Mid-November starts their dry season. Early December can be a little less predictable, but fingers crossed for little-to-no rain!

Are children allowed?

Answer

Yes! You will have needed to note this on your RSVP if you plan to bring your children to the wedding/reception! The Westin is a very family-friendly resort!

Does the property provide a baby sitting service?

Answer

Yes! Although not included as a part of the all-inclusive rate, for an extra fee, The Westin provides babysitting. Please call the hotel for details about pricing/rates.

Will I need to bring outlet adapters?

Answer

No! If staying at The Westin, you will not need to bring outlet adapters.

Do I need to make dinner reservations?

Answer

Right now, The Westin Reserva Conchal has discontinued reservations for dinner as wait times are minimal! This may change closer to busy season, we will be sure to update our website if this changes! Our favorite restaurants on resort property are Manglar Seafood and Spirula Trattoria.

Does the hotel provide a shuttle to/from the airport?

Answer

The Westin uses a preferred company as a shuttle service to/from the hotel and is recommended if you're with a party of 4 or more. Expect about $200USD for van shuttle. Must reserve in advance. Please email them for more accurate rates: info@gocrvision.com Please use their website linked here: gocrvision.com Local taxis are highly recommended for parties of 2-3 and are more cost effective! Again, Ubers/Lyfts not recommended.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Think light and bright! We encourage fun colors with a comfortable elegance! Gals- think flowy dresses, skirts, or jumpsuits. Guys- think cotton or linen. Sports coat not required but not discouraged! As both the wedding and reception are outdoors, dress accordingly.

Where on resort property is the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on Natural Beach, near A8 on your resort map. The reception will take place by the main pool marked A32 on your resort map. You will be handed a resort map upon arrival and it's our goal to have one in every welcome bag :)
