When did this love affair begin? 9th grade maybe. It’s been so long, no one can even remember. State lines separated Madeline and Elizabeth not long after they became friends, but once you’ve spent the road trip to and from Branson in the backseat of a Volkswagen Bug together, there is no turning back! These two have the type of friendship everyone hopes for: one that surpasses time, distance, different stages in life, and everything in between. They also attended their first Beyoncé concert together...so. Get on their level!

Published poet. Literary magazine founder & editor. Voracious reader. National Park traveler. Craft brew connoisseur. Are any of your friends this cool? Probably not. Madeline & Heather met at UCA when they were both racking up frequent flyer miles in Thompson and Irby Hall, writing poems and reading poetry, calling it “college.” Friendship typically influences its participants, but Heather is that friend who influenced Madeline on a molecular level. She cannot imagine her big day (or life) without her!

Madeline and Callie met while working at LISA Academy in 2013, probably because they were both wearing cowboy boots & dresses on any given day of the work week. In their prime, you could find them at the lake, around a bonfire, or doing some other thing that resulted in the kind of shenanigans you get into when you’re out of college, working, and finally have a dollar to spend. Callie is single handedly responsible for most of Madeline’s truly country experiences: horseback riding, riding on the back of a mule in an open field, dancing under the stars in her parent’s backyard. There is no sweeter friend!

Madeline and Mandy met while working at eStem Public Charter School in Little Rock, Arkansas. They became fast friends on a work trip to Denver, Colorado in 2013 after realizing that unspoken bond that only other introverts can recognize in each other. They share a love of divine food, engaging fiction, delectable coffee, rescue dogs, adventures to new places, and the creature comforts of home.

Amy and Madeline met in 2013 during their first year as full time teachers at eStem Public Charter School. They have bonded almost daily since then over their crazy love-hate (love always wins) relationship with their chosen profession. Amy is the voice of reason Madeline needs when it comes to life’s big stuff; the unexpected belly laugh when she doesn’t even know she needs it; the reality check when she gets too big for her britches. If you don’t have a friend like that, you need to get you one!
