There are two paid parking lots across the street from the venue; however, these lots are limited. There is additional metered street parking in the surrounding area. However, if you plan to indulge in the whiskey tastings, we strongly recommend using Uber or Lyft. We have found both of these options to be quite affordable in Chattanooga and then you avoid the hassle of potentially having to parallel park.
Chattanooga is in the EASTERN time zone. Please be aware of this, especially if you plan to fly.
Cocktail attire...but bring your dancing shoes! If you are interested in complimenting the wedding's color palette, consider earth tones.
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be held indoors; however, the cocktail hour, between the ceremony and reception, will be partially outdoors. During cocktail hour guests will be free to mingle on the front porch and lawn while small bites are passed. Drinks will be available in the Whiskey Lounge at the front of the building and at the bar on the front porch. During this time the main space will be converted to the reception area.
Our caterer has worked with us to accommodate gluten free diets, but, to ensure no cross contamination, we must let her know how many GF plates to set aside when we finalize our catering numbers. Therefore, if you want a GF option please indicate that on your RSVP or email us at becominganewyork@gmail.com. If you have other dietary allergies or restriction(s), please email us so we can work with you to create a plate that suits your dietary needs.
We know this is a scary time and we are doing the best we can to ensure a safe event. All food and drinks will be served by licensed caterers/bartenders to curtail the spread of germs. We will also have plenty of hand sanitizer available. Guests are free to wear masks; however, they are not required at this time. We also know that all guests will not necessarily be vaccinated by this time. Thus, we completely understand if you feel uncomfortable attending. First and foremost, we value your health and want you to make the best decision for you! Update: We are continuing to monitor the evolving Delta variant numbers and will announce any necessary changes as they arise.
We get it. Life is busy and attending an out-of- town wedding during an ongoing pandemic poses several challenges. We aren’t live streaming the big day, but we are having a video made and anticipate tons and tons of pictures. We look forward to sharing these with all our loved ones. It won’t be the same as being there, but it will give us an excuse to celebrate with you at another time and we would love nothing more than an occasion to relive our special day. So please do not feel extra stress regarding whether you are able to attend. We understand either way and just ask that you RSVP accordingly.
Due to capacity limitations at our venue, please do not bring a guest unless the invitation you received stated "and guest."
We love children and would love to have them celebrate with us; however, we understand that young children might be bored and/or you might just want a date night. If you would like to bring your kids with you to Chattanooga but not necessarily to the wedding, our wedding planner has close, personal friends who are reliable and trustworthy sitters. If you would like more information on childcare, please email us at becominganewyork@gmail.com.
If you've met Ryan then you know it isn't a Saturday without sports. So, there will be televisions at the reception for you to check the score and keep an eye on your game while still hitting the dance floor.
One of our favorite restaurants and frequent date night hot spots is Stevarino's Italian Eatery and Pub on the NorthShore side of Chattanooga. Other favorites include Tony's Pasta Shop and Trattoria, The Feed, Tremont Tavern, and State of Confusion.
Our favorite bar in Chattanooga is Mike's Hole in the Wall on the NorthShore side of Chattanooga. Other favorites include SouthSide Social, HiFi Clydes, and Westbound Bar. If you are looking for a more casual place to sample beer, there is also a taproom located right next door to the venue space called Fountainhead Taproom. They have 60+ self-pour taps for a unique tasting experience.
Chattanooga has tons of hotels and rental properties on Chattanooga Vacation Rentals, Airbnb, and VRBO. For your convenience we have blocked rooms at three of the hotels closest to the venue which is in Chattanooga's Southside. Links to these can be found under the Accommodations tab. However, you are welcome to explore the area and stay wherever best suits your needs. There isn't a specific wedding hotel as the bridal party and our families will be staying at a variety of rental properties. We do encourage you to book accommodations as soon as possible. Chattanooga is a popular destination and things do fill up.
