Now, for the celebration! We'll begin the celebration with a ceilidh (kay-lee). Jes discovered the beauties of this Scottish country dance when she lived in Inverness, Scotland at 19. These are informal dances, akin to contradances in the U.S., that anyone can do. We'll have a caller who will tell you how to line up and the turns and moves to make as the music begins. (If you want to see ceilidh dances, you can look up "Whip the Willow," "The Virginia Reel," etc for an idea of what you'll experience). This has been a dream of Jes' since she was a teen and she'd love for you to join in on at least one dance! "Ceilidhs are literally the best!"--Jes Don't worry, we'll also have an amazing DJ after toasts, so you can get your traditional weddings grooves out, too. Dinner from Amigos' will follow the ceilidh, then toasts with the "grog" (based of the military dining in/out tradition), and cake-cutting with a ceremonial saber (another military tradition).
