September is one of the most beautiful times to visit Lake Minnewaska! If you’re making a weekend out of it, here are some fun things to do in the Glenwood/Starbuck area:
Lake Fun:
Rent a pontoon or fishing boat from local marinas, swim and relax on the public beaches.
The lake is known for walleye, northern pike, and sunfish.
Outdoor Fun:
Hike the Glacial Lakes State Park or enjoy Barsness Park in Glenwood with an easy trail system, disc golf, and sweeping views of the lake.
The Minnewaska Golf Club is just minutes away and offers a scenic course overlooking the lake. Don't forget a tee time!
Food & Drink:
Visit Rolling Forks Vineyard or Water’s Edge for food with a view of the water.
Enjoy a casual drink at Firehouse Brewery, Minnewaska House and other local bars and breweries around town.
Shopping:
Glenwood’s and Starbuck's small downtown areas have charming boutiques, gift shops, and cafés that are perfect for exploring -- our Starbuck cafe favorite is The Neon Loon.
