We kindly ask that you RSVP by September 6th. If your RSVP is not received by this date, you will be marked as "not attending". The reason for this being that we must provide accurate guest counts to all of our vendors within a timely manner. We hope you understand and we will miss you celebrating with us! If you RSVP'd attending, but find that you will no longer be able to attend, please contact us as soon as possible.
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. That generally means that cocktail dresses, evening dresses, sundresses, casual suits, slacks, button-downs, and sports coats (ties or no ties) are all perfect for our wedding. You'll likely feel underdressed in jeans and t-shirts, and overdressed in a full tuxedo. Please keep in mind our ceremony will be outdoors, weather dependent, and our reception will be held indoors. As a reference, the average temperature for mid-October in Floyd (located in the Blue Ridge mountains) ranges from 45°F to 63°F and is rarely below 33°F or above 74°F.
There is ample parking at Chateau Morrisette that can spill into a nearby field; however, please allow time in case there is heavy normal patronage at the winery. We will be offering a bus to transport individuals. The pick-up/drop-off location will be the hotel entrance at the Inn of Virginia Tech (time to be confirmed later). Seating is limited to 27 individuals and preference will be given to out of town guests, so please alert us in the RSVP if you are interested in this transportation option. As a note, ride share options such as Uber or Lyft will be limited or unavailable near the venue. Please be sure to plan accordingly to return to your accommodations safely.
We love you, and we love your kids! However, due to limited venue capacity, please consider our wedding day as a fun night off and enjoy plenty of food, drinks, and fun at our adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements for the kids so you can celebrate with us!
We are excited to celebrate with our nearest and dearest. As much as we would love to share our day with everyone, due to limitations at our venue we ask that you do not bring anyone not specifically on the invite.
