One of our favorite things about living in the Milwaukee is all the breweries we get to explore - we often get together with friends for trivia nights or just hang out at various breweries throughout the city! We highly recommend doing any of the brewery tours the city is known for, but here are some of our favorite local breweries to check out! Lakefront Brewery Eagle Park Brewing Company Pilot Project Brewing Broken Bat Brewing Third Space Brewing New Glarus Brewing Company (home of the famous Spotted Cow, a bit outside the city but worth the trip if you have time)
For all your Milwaukee classic needs (cheese/sausage/beer/food) - make sure to stop by get a Bloody Mary from the West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe! Be sure to also walk around the Third Ward as well and enjoy one of Milwaukee's most charming areas!
Feel like you're stepping into our childhoods with the Public Museum - we both have so many stories from growing up of going to the museum whether with our families or on school trips. They are building a new museum so stop by to see the OG museum before it's gone! (see if you can find the rattlesnake button, hear the howler monkey, walk the old streets of Milwaukee, and get spooked from the thunderstorm with the T-Rex and Triceratops)
Our favorite part of Milwaukee is having the gorgeous Lake Michigan as our neighbor - we love taking long walks through Veterans Park and along the lakefront, and showcases our favorite view of the skyline of Milwaukee! Fun fact, we also got our engagement photos taken here :)
Just south of the Art Museum and Discovery World, Lakeshore State Park is an amazing area with the shore of Lake Michigan on one side and the Summerfest grounds on the other! Also boasts amazing views of the lake and the city, but venture to the south end of the park and you can not only walk under the Hoan bridge, but also visit the landmark Milwaukee Pierhead Lighthouse!
