8:30 am - 11:00 am
Traditional Swag - wear your grandma's favorite wedding outfit, something culturally significant to you, or anything you'd be comfortable in on the farm. If you'd like to wear Thai dress, but don't have anything, let us know :).
This is a traditional ceremony from Northeastern Thailand (Isaan) where spirits are called to the couple in an animist ceremony and blessings are offered by community members and guests by tying strings on the couple's wrists. We will serve brunch after the ceremony. This event will be attended by all of the local guests from the surrounding community, in addition to Becky and Keng's guests. It's totally okay to skip this event if you only have capacity for one. This ceremony is important for Keng's parents and will be attended by all their friends and connections. However, if you're up for a cultural experience, we'd love to have our close friends there as well :).
5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Dressy casual. Feel free to wear a sundress, a button down with no tie, or anything that makes you comfortable. Despite being in Thailand, it can get cool at night (low 70s) so if you want to go local, bring a jacket. This event will be on the farm, so heels are not the best choice.
The evening ceremony will be a western style vow exchange ceremony followed by dinner, live morlam music, dancing, and karaoke. This event will be more intimate than the morning, only attended by Becky and Keng's family and friends. We are looking forward to connecting with all our communities together in one event and we can't wait to see you there!
