Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Rachel Beckwith and Cody Shields
Once the last stop on the Chisholm Trail, the Stockyards were where millions of longhorns were bought, sold, and shipped by rail in the late 1800s. Today, the area blends that Old West heritage—brick streets, historic barns, daily cattle drives—with modern restaurants, shops, and live music, earning Fort Worth its nickname: Where the West Begins. After coming all this way, it’s important to us that you never have to take an Uber or shuttle during your stay in Fort Worth. Think of the Stockyards as your own little western village for the weekend. There is so much to do in the Stockyards, and we recommend taking time to explore and follow your noses. Below are some of our favorite walkable staples to get you started.
Hotel Drover, Autograph Collection

Hotel Drover, Autograph Collection

200 Mule Alley, Fort Worth, TX 76164

Not staying here? No problem! Hotel Drover is our favorite place to pop in for drinks. The chic lobby and serene back patio serve as the perfect setting for luxe, elevated country vibes. The Drover is Michelin-key, so lunch at 97 West inside the hotel is a must! Pro tip: Love the way the Drover smells? Purchase a "Fire Starter" signature candle at the front desk. We burn through them at home at an alarming rate!

Second Rodeo Brewing

Second Rodeo Brewing

122 East Exchange Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76164

A great place for large groups with live music, beer, and casual food. Right next to the Drover.

Ático Fort Worth

Ático Fort Worth

2315 North Main Street, Fort Worth, TX 76164

The rooftop restaurant of the SpringHill Suites, one of our hotel blocks. The food is phenom and it’s perfect for drinks, small plates, or a full sit-down meal with views.

Lucchese Bootmaker

Lucchese Bootmaker

128 East Exchange Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76164

Lookin' to buy some boots? Here's your splurge option. Truly the best pair of boots you can buy. Note: There is also a custom Lucchese store in the Drover. You'll want to go to the main store instead, listed here!

Tecovas

Tecovas

2341 North Main Street, Fort Worth, TX 76164

Another great boot option at a friendlier price point. Top-tier quality & trendy designs. Can't go wrong with Tecovas!

Billy Bob's Texas

Billy Bob's Texas

2520 Rodeo Plaza, Fort Worth, TX 76164

Okay. IYKYK. The greatest place ever. Welcome to the world’s largest honky tonk! Just about every country great you can name has taken the stage here. Live music, bull riding, two-steppin', and pool tables aplenty. Open until 5:00 PM, then reopens at 6:00 PM when the lights go down and the party turns all the way up. Please note that some nights (usually Fri/Sat) require a concert ticket, so check the website ahead of time. We love stopping in even during the day for a low-key game of pool before the chaos begins.

Saddlerock Wine & Beer Co.

Saddlerock Wine & Beer Co.

731 Samuels Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76102

Want to get out of the Stockyards? Our favorite Malibu-based winery is just a 6-min Uber away. A little slice of California in TX!
