When you’re given a sister in life, you hope they are your best friend, your partner in crime, your closet raider and that you wear the same size shoes. Ellena is all the above and more. She is my baby sister, but there is no one else in the world I would entrust with this honor. She can light up a room with her personality, dance moves and brings joy to all those around her. Not to mention she can 100% talk sports with the best of them.

Best Man
As soon as I proposed to Melanie, I knew who I wanted to be my Best Man. There isn't a single part of my life that I can remember without Frank. As younger kids I remember playing football against Frank and only knowing him as the kid who wore Rec Specs. Fast forward through years of church hangouts & one terrible baseball team and we found ourselves in high school. Frank, born in the late 80's, was slightly older so he was able to drive before I was and the amount of time spent in his Cutlass Supreme is beyond comprehension. From countless hours of ping pong to church volunteer hours that were literally being counted, Frank has always been there. Frank was my best friend in high school, my roommate in college and he will be the Best Man on what will be the happiest day of my life.

My beautiful sister in law, whom I have been blessed to have in my life for many years, will stand by our side on the best day of our lives. Not only is Christina the kindest soul with the biggest heart, she is the perfect mother to our baby niece and wife to my wonderful brother. I always wondered what it would be like to have an older sister in my life, and then God blessed me with Christina. There is no other person in the world that could match Christina's grace, and we are honored to have her standing with us on our day.

Michael is Melanie's older brother. He is one of the people most responsible for making Melanie so awesome. Her love of Back to the Future & Ghostbusters? Thank you, Michael. Her love of video games? Thank you, Michael. Her setting the bar so high for men? Thank you, Michael & Dimitri. After meeting Michael for the first time I remember going home and telling friends how cool Melanie's brother is and he would fit in seamlessly in our group. It can be months in between seeing each other but it never takes long to get caught up. Two, maybe three or four, glasses of scotch is all it ever takes. I look forward to many more late night talks and I know I can speak for Melanie when I say the altar would be missing something if Michael wasn't up there with us when we say "I do".

Tom's baby sister, she has been such a joy to us as we have loved to watch her grow up. I can remember the first time I ever met Meagan, she was kind enough to let me stay in her room and then beat me senseless in ping pong. I knew we would be amazing friends from that point forward, and can't wait to be sisters! We wouldn't be able to have our special day without her standing up with us, as she brings one of the biggest lights to our lives.

I spent many nights staying up late and praying for a baby brother. As our grandma likes to say, God was just taking his time when he made Billy. He was the first left-handed person I ever knew and is how I learned to navigate the lefty's unorthodox dining tendencies, which has prepared me for a lifetime in marriage with Mel & her left-handedness. Suffice it to say, Billy was worth the wait and is proving to be more fun now than when he was a toddler and I was a teenager. Cheese driven scratch attacks have been replaced with late night talks & movie quotes. He's turned out to be a great baby brother and I am proud to have him with Mel & I on our big day.

Katie has been my best friend since our basketball days in high school. She is the truest example of going through time on separate paths, but when you see each other again it is like no time has ever passed at all. Through the years our friendship has surpassed others, and her friendship with Tom was the easiest to ever form, it was as if they had always been friends. The wedding party would not be complete without her and we are so excited to have her being a part our our special day.

Clayton & I have been joking around and laughing since we were about 14 years old playing baseball together. That friendship has continuously grown and Clayton has helped me through some of the more difficult times in my life. It's a safe bet that if Clayton is there, memories & good times are not far behind. I have never seen anyone be able to instantly become friends with complete strangers the way Clayton does. Always quick with a joke or sarcastic remark, nobody has a bigger heart than the tallest Lakers fan I know. Our wedding day would be incomplete without him.

One of the best friends a girl could ever ask for, Brie has been the greatest friend to both of us. She has been there through good times and bad, and has brought many wonderful memories with her. Brie is truly one of the greatest people we have ever known, and are honored to have her be a part of this special day.

We became close friends in college through intramural sports. Phil was, and always will be, my Bash Brother. In total non-contact sports Phil & I would find a way to create contact, and lots of it. I always knew, no matter the sport, that he would give maximum effort, so I felt I owed it to him to give the same. Even though Phil is younger than me, I look up to him. The integrity in which he lives his life is something that inspires me & pushes me to be better. Phil is genuine. His sincerity shines through his words & laughter. Phil's support when I told him I was moving to KC because "I had to go see about a girl" was all I needed to know I was doing the right thing, I already knew Mel was perfect for me and he confirmed it. We are blessed to have Phil stand with us on our Wedding Day.
