It’s the same old story...girl swipes right, guy swipes right, girl & guy don't speak, guy finally makes the first move. Starting a relationship on a “hot or not” App was NEVER the intention, but what can you do? The heart wants what it wants. After 3 months and 200 miles apart, never having met in person, some killer one liners and Skype dates (yes back when Skype was a thing), we met. Face to face and in person. That night he asked me to be his girlfriend, and the rest is Tinder history.
*Through the eyes of Mel* Friday, March 9th, 2017. What a day, I came home from my 10 hour shift, actually even working late, walked in the door to find the most beautiful display, a candle light path through my home to the basement and a table with a genie’s lamp stating "make a wish". With music playing in the background and clues written out for me, I followed the path to the basement, where another path was made, white sheets hanging from the ceiling blocking any other view but that of a video on display of every picture we had ever taken. EVER. “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran brought tears to my eyes and once the video ended, another clue appeared saying, "follow the path to a whole new world" and as I rounded the corner, there he was: standing on Aladdin's magic carpet, waiting for me. As I reached him, I simply asked "whats going on?", and his response couldn't have been better, "it's a whole new world". And with that, he got down on one knee and proposed! *Through the eyes of Tom* SHE SAID YES!
