Custer State Park Resort

We have a small room block at the State Game Lodge for Saturday night. Let them know it is for the Marx/Rosenboom Wedding! There are also hotels in Custer that would be available.

Flight

Rapid City Regional Airport, South Dakota

Rapid City airport is the only available airport to fly into for the wedding. It's about 45 minutes from the State Park and an hour from Custer, SD.

Transportation Info

Custer State Park is known for it's wildlife, which is best seen by car around the park. The best way to get to and from the airport is by rental car regardless if you’re interested in seeing the buffalo or not.

Lodging

The most convenient place to stay is inside of Custer State Park at the State Game Lodge, Creekside Inn, or a cabin or campsite nearby. You can also stay in Custer, but keep in mind transportation to and from will be limited since the State Park is fairly remote. (There are no Uber’s). Legion Lake is also fairly close by to the ceremony and reception. It’s about 6 miles away. We have a room block for Saturday night only at the Game State Lodge, so please consider that as an option when looking at rooms. Mention Rosenboom/Marx wedding.

Travel Note

Custer State Park Entrance Fee

If you are not staying at the State Park overnight, your park entrance fee is covered! Please tell the attendant that you are there for the Marx/Rosenboom wedding and they will let you in with an event pass. If you are staying overnight, unfortunately you still need to pay the fee.
