We were celebrating our one year dating anniversary in Davenport, but before we went out, we exchanged presents. Becca gave Todd a photo book of our year together and Todd gave Becca a flower pot full of handmade (by Todd) with pictures of us and a note in the back. The note had a series of things Todd had asked Becca to do during the year including our first date with the phrase “I never expected you to say yes” and the last line was “I have one more question to ask that I hope you will say yes to”. Becca looked at Todd then Todd got on one knee and proposed!
Todd and Becca are both engineers at John Deere but met through mutual friends during their time in Dubuque, IA. They played on the same softball team but did not start dating until after one night at an Alabama concert. Todd impressed Becca by leading the entire stadium in a chant for “Mountain Music”. Becca had just moved to Davenport while Todd still lived in Dubuque but Todd drove down and took Becca on a couple dates to win her over for the long run.
We would appreciate if our guests can be respectful and maintain social distancing throughout the wedding celebration. We will also be wearing masks when possible and encourage everyone to do the same.
