How do I view the live feed of the ceremony?

Answer

The live feed will be available on the Buckeye Barn’s website at about 2:25 pm in the 27th. From our venue owner, “there will be a red movie camera icon on the main page of our website. Simply click that icon and it will get anyone to that live feed. The feed will start about 5 minutes before the ceremony.” The website address is this: https://www.thebuckeyebarn.com/

How has Covid-19 impacted the wedding plan?

Answer

Thank you so much for your patience with us, COVID-19 has changed many of our plans and we appreciate your continued flexibility as we get closer to the day! After many discussions we have decided to continue with our day as planned. We are working closely with our wedding vendors to ensure the safest day possible for us all here are some steps we are taking to make that happen: Common touch points will be sanitized every 30 minutes, this includes bar top restroom fixtures, door handles , etc. The wedding and reception will be as open air as possible, and social distancing rules will be in place as much as possible. Masks will be provided and hand sanitizer will be made available at multiple locations throughout the venue. Food and cake will be in individual servings.

We trust you to prioritize your safety and the safety of others to the best of your ability. Please monitor yourself for any symptoms especially a fever, cough, or any shortness of breath. If you are experiencing any of these we ask that you stay comfortable and safe at home. There will be a live video stream available of the wedding and reception, and we will provide details of that closer to the day here on the website. Are the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Answer

Yes, we will be getting married and partying it up at the same location! The Buckeye Barn 9017 Troy-Sidney Rd Piqua Ohio, 45356

Is your wedding on a Sunday?

Answer

Yes! This is not a typo on the invitations, we promise. We will get married Sunday the 27th of September, 2020!

Is there lodging nearby?

Answer

Yes! The venue is in Piqua, where there are a few hotel options close by. The Comfort Inn at the Miami Valley Centre Mall will have some rooms blocked specifically for the wedding! The Baymont Inn in Piqua is the next closest, with other options available in Troy as well.

Is this event 21+?

Answer

We love our younger family members very much, and we look forward to celebrating with them at our couple’s shower! The wedding itself is a 21+ event. Due to the guidelines of our venue, the location and timing (it’s a school night), the presence of alcohol and some musical choices, we ask that all guests at the wedding reception and ceremony be 21 or older.

Is there a cash bar or open bar?

Answer

The bar is open! We are planning to brew some special beers ourselves as well for the reception. Details to come!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Of course we want everyone invited to have a good time and feel comfortable at our celebration. We may have to limit plus ones based on our budget for the wedding. We will clearly state in your invitation if you have a plus one! We do ask that all guests at the wedding be 21+ if you have any questions about this please contact us!

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered through Amazon, and the link to our online registry can be found under the “registry” tab here on our wedding website.

What should I wear?

Answer

You can dress as fancy as you like! We ask that people at least wear business casual attire, please no jeans or sweatpants. The wedding will be at the end of September in Ohio, so it could be warm or cold. Please check the weather forecast to make sure you are dressing comfortably for the day’s weather.

Does your wedding venue have a designated smoking area?

Answer

Yes, it does, thank you for asking. The smoking area is clearly marked, away from the main barn and toward the parking area. Please smoke only tobacco products and dispose of butts in the vessel provided. We will be charged for each cigarette butt found outside of the designated smoking area, and we’d really rather spend that money on our honeymoon. Your attention to this is greatly appreciated!

What’s on the menu? Will there be alternatives for food allergies, preferences, etc?

Answer

We will be having BBQ for our wedding meal! Smoked pulled pork with optional bun, mac’n cheese, green beans, and of course cake! If you have a severe food allergy or other dietary restrictions please let us know and we will try to accommodate you!

Yea Verily
