The birthplace of America! If you want to take in some history while in Philadelphia, check out Independence Hall. It's a short walk from the hotels, and the surrounding area is filled with other great things to do! A fair warning - the line to get in to see the Liberty Bell gets VERY long at times. So if you don't want to wait you can see through a large window from the outside of the building on Chestnut St.
The National Constitution Center is America's most hands-on history museum. The center is an interactive museum and a national town hall for constitutional dialogue, hosting government leaders, journalists, scholars, and celebrities for public discussions (including presidential debates).
This beautiful spot is an art lover's must-see! The museum’s holdings encompass more than 240,000 works spanning 2,000 years, including pieces from the ancient world, medieval times, the Renaissance, the Impressionist movement and modern day. Plus check out the iconic Rocky stairs (there's even a Rocky statue you can snap a photo with). Don't forget when you get to the top of the stairs to turn around and take in the view.
This is one of our favorite museums in the city! The Franklin Institute is a science museum and the center of science education and research in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is named after the American scientist and statesman Benjamin Franklin, and houses the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial.
