How We Met
Nicosia, Cyprus
January 2018-May 2018
The couple met on a bus while studying abroad in Cyprus. Turns out, they were next-door neighbors the entire semester--how lucky! They enjoyed long walks on the beach and halloumi cheese.
Central America
May 2019-December 2019
After graduating from universities on opposite sides of the country, the couple decided to reunite by backpacking through Central America and Mexico, working at hostels in exchange for free food and bunks. There were bug bites, hurricanes, sketchy buses, and a fair amount of food poisoning, but the two came back tan, in love, and full of funny stories to tell their kids someday.
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Januray 2020- April 2021
As one last 'hoorah' before adulthood, the couple booked flights to Vietnam in hopes of exploring all of Southeast Asia for one month. When an unexpected worldwide pandemic rendered them stranded, they decided to make the most of it. They soon became the coolest English instructors in town and drove to work each day on a motorbike. 10/10, they would recommend getting stuck in a foreign country during a global pandemic.
Charlotte, NC
August 2021-Present
After returning to America, the couple faced a difficult decision: Where would they live now? On what some would call a "random whim," they moved all their belongings to Charlotte. There, they found jobs, developed embarrassing accents, got engaged, and plan to live happily ever after with their two cats in the southern city...for now.
