Do I need a passport or visa?

Answer

Yes, a valid passport is required for entry into Honduras. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond our wedding date.

Can I use US currancy in Roatán?

Answer

Yes, you can. While the official currency of Honduras is the Lempira, US dollars are widely accepted throughout the island, especially in tourist areas. When paying with US dollars, change is often given back in Lempiras. It is a good idea to have some Lempiras on hand for smaller purchases or if you venture outside the main tourist areas. You can easily exchange currency at the airport, banks, or exchange bureaus. Cash is king: While credit cards are accepted in some larger establishments, cash is still the preferred method of payment in Roatan. Small bills are helpful: It's always a good idea to have small denominations of US dollars on hand, as it can be difficult to get change for larger bills.

Can I stay at an Airbnb?

Yes! There are quite a few options for staying at an Airbnb, especially if you are bringing the family or staying with a larger group. While you can stay anywhere on the island, we recommend staying somewhere on West Bay Beach as everything is walkable to the wedding events.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love all of the children in our lives, wedding events will be adults only unless they are family. We understand that many of our guests will be traveling from out of country and may need to bring their children. While we are unable to accommodate children at the wedding events, we encourage you to bring along family members or close friends who can assist with childcare.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

When you RSVP, you will see if a guest has been included for you. Due to a limited number of seats, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you believe there has been an error, please reach out to Rebecca or Chris.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, all of our wedding events are within easy walking distance of West Bay Beach. If you've booked accommodations further away, we recommend contacting your hotel or rental host to arrange a taxi or driver.
