We are renting shuttles for the weekend to cover as much of the driving as possible for our guests. In order to make this work, we are asking y'all to stay at the location provided on the travel tab of our website-unless you chose to stay at the cabins. The shuttle pick-up/drop-off will be at the hotel listed, and the cabins. If this provides an issue for you, please contact Becca to work something out!
You may be questioning why we chose Canada. We had our hearts set on an intimate destination wedding, but as planning commenced, we realized that our top choices (New Zealand or Hawaii) were unaffordable for ourselves and our guests. We decided to research more affordable options, and we were led to the west side of Canada. For those that don’t know, the bride is half Canadian-as her mum is from Canada and the first/only of her family to move to the US. We found that this would be the most affordable option, still fulfilling our dream of an intimate destination wedding. We then found our venue, fell in love with it, and we can’t wait to get married there! We know that traveling to any wedding can be expensive and have worked to accommodate our guests as much as possible. We understand and respect that some may not be able to make the venture to our wedding. We also greatly appreciate those that are able/willing to do so. Either way we thank you for your support and love!
Although we love your little ones, this will be an adult only celebration due to space and budget restrictions. We want to give everyone a chance to let loose and enjoy the day, and we look forward to dancing the night away with you. However, if you are unable to attend due to munchkin needs we understand.
The attire will be semi-formal/cocktail casual attire. We want to give you a reason to get dolled up, but also want you to be comfortable enough to dance the night away.
We have included all guests in our guest list that will fit at our venue. Unfortunately we will be unable to accommodate for any extra guests, but we look forward to celebrating with you!
While we don't live here and are not familiar with typical weather patterns, we are expecting a cool summer day with a bit chillier of an evening. There will be heaters and fire pits to warm yourself by, but consider bringing a sweater just in case!
The ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception will be in a covered but open barn.
We are asking that for the ceremony all phones, cameras, beepers and things with a power button are off and put away. We are paying lots of money to a professional photographer with a fancy camera to take pictures of our special day, and we want your beautiful faces (not your devices) captured with that. We promise you will get access to wedding photos as you want, and we will be offering an opportunity for each family/group/couple to get a picture together as well. We are hoping that everyone will be willing to remain present and in the moment for the day and suggest leaving phones off and away if possible. Of course, we understand people will need to remain "plugged" for little ones, work, etc, so please do not feel bad if that's you. We just want everyone to enjoy the day to the fullest extent, as we know it goes by SO fast!
We will be skipping the wedding hashtag trend, as we want to encourage everyone to be "unplugged" and present in the moment (we promise to send all the pictures you want!)
