FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Wear whatever makes you feel good, pretty, or confident! Please remember the parking lot is not paved and so make sure to wear appropriate shoes.

Question

What will the weather be like at the wedding?

Answer

The average high in Santa Fe, NM during November is Mid to Low 50's. It can get a little chilly, but will likely be very clear and sunny. Be sure to bring a jacket or fancy blanket for the ceremony! We will have heaters and you can go inside the Hacienda if it gets chilly for you.

Question

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Everything will be outdoors on the deck with heating lamps posted throughout. We will have full access to the Hacienda if it gets chilly :)

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The bridal party will be taking a few more pictures while the guests make their way to the garden courtyard for a cocktail reception while you wait for the reception to begin.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! We completely understand if you cannot make it as it is very far for many of you. Just know we love you. Please RSVP that you will not be attending so that we can have an accurate headcount.

Question

How do I get to the Venue?

Answer

From Albuquerque Take highway 14 toward Madrid (Cerrillos Road south from Santa Fe turns into the 14) 1 mile south of the village of Cerrillos, you will see an outdoor sculpture shop opposite the turn to the 55 Take Highway 55 Gold Mine Road east. Go through narrow entrance lined by log fencing. Follow the road for 5.2 miles. Toward the end, you will pass a new concrete gate and Corazon del Oro. Turn RIGHT onto Vista del Oro (opposite a green gate) -- road is graded gravel here Go about 1 mile, passing a yellow newspaper mailbox. Turn LEFT onto 78Vista del Oro **Please make sure to not drive up our neighbor's driveway. We want to respect their privacy. Thank you!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

It takes a bit longer than you would expect to get to the venue due to the dirt road leading up to the venue. Plan to arrive around 3:00-3:30 to park and get seated in time.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Once you drive up the long dirt driveway there is parking all around. It will be easy to spot. If there is anyone who needs a drop off right in front, feel free to drive around to the front garden to drop off and then park.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We do welcome the kiddos! Due to the hills being right at the edge of the property, do not let your kids wander by themselves outside of the venue. We also understand that you might need a weekend away :) No judgment if you don't bring them!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to the intimate nature of our wedding, please contact Ben or Becca to confirm any extra guests.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

No, instead we have offered quite a few Airbnb and VRBO ideas on the travel page of this site.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind?

Answer

Yes and yes! We will be serving traditional New Mexican cuisine. We will have vegetarian options. You can expect a lot of green chili!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have a registry at Target, Zola, and Wayfair all accessible through the site. Since the site is a ZOLA site, that registry is most accessible, but the other registries have more items we are excited about!
